Description

De Geitenstee Fenegriek is prepared in the traditional way from fresh Dutch milk and made on the Mekkerstee farm in Ouddorp. The taste is deliciously creamy with nut-like nutty.

Goat Chicken is a delicious creamy goat’s cheese, made from the best Dutch goat’s milk. The goats are in the village of Ottoland, located in the Alblasserwaard, where goat farmer Leendert Pelikaan runs the goat farm. There are about 1000 goats that provide fresh full goat milk every day. The goats receive the best care on the farm and largely eat organic grass clover from bio-farmers from the Hoeksche. This ensures a high consistent quality of goat milk that is very creamy.

The milk from this 1000 goat hole to care farm De Mekkerstee, located in Ouddorp. On this farm, the cheese makers make the unique Dutch goat’s cheese in a traditional way and according to a unique recipe. During this cooking process only pure ingredients are added, so that the real taste remains. Geitenstee is a beautiful rich cheese with top quality ingredients.

When the cheeses are prepared, a natural ripening process follows on wooden planks. The goat’s cheese is turned by hand and all the rest is taken to develop the optimal taste. Some patience is required, but the result may be there! A unique Dutch goat’s cheese with a very pure taste and creamy dairy, make this goat’s cheese irresistibly delicious!

An advantage of goat cheese is that it is easier to digest than cheese made from cow’s milk. This is due to the smaller fat molecules in the goat milk. This means that goat’s cheese fits perfectly in a balanced diet. Goat’s cheese also contains a lot of vitamin A. This is because the goats convert all carotene (orange) into vitamin A. For people with cow’s milk allergy goat’s cheese is also a godsend.
